Its my understanding the 900 can go GREEN/ORANGE? I know of the 895Hester which was a sibb. What other greats has it produced..........DId you know BOB MACKENZIE selfed it to produce a 742SQ in 1996... I wonder what MR.Lyons is planting this year??? DBH

the 900.8 Lyons grew the 1010 Hoult in 1995 which would have been the first 1000lb pumpkin ever grown. Brett Hester has a ton of 900.8 crosses. Besides the 895 he also has an 856, 862, and 611. Brett also lost a squash at 986, but I don't recall whether that one was on a 900.8. Tom

I believe that 986 was actually on the 900.8 plant that pol'd. the 900.8 that grew the 895. AleX Noel.

A Fellow PGVG member gave me a 900.8 Lyons:) What would you cross it with!

My 900.8 lyons Got a late set?? 7/18 THe previous three were damaged by birds(starlings) It was very apparent that the fruit was going to be orange??? currently yellow! // The fruit is also long and slender?? I crossed it back w/green from my own 674? //// Another long fruit is the 1247Handy
