yes its the 2005 season and who will be the first to top the 1000 lb mark on a green squash....has everyone choosen their seeds....I think after last year more will try and I believe 2005 will be the year.....its long overdue, who is your guess to pull it off.......my guess is someone in Ontario , Canada.........wayne

I would guess it will be broken twice this year. Once by Quinn Werner with a 970 if it stays green and the biggest will come from the west coast, grown by Jim Sherwood on his own 552

I'm gonna try greenies this year too. Going with the 771 Stellphlug and the 874.5 Dieffenbaugher. Dont know if I'll make a thousand or not, but gonna have fun trying.

Yes, wk, ice man and tremor and all others that may be in the squash zone. It is great to see all the energy devoted to growing the elusive 1000 lb squash (official - that is). Seed that will do it, Hmmmm, 756 Kennedy, 980 Razo, 552 Sherwood, 895 Hestor or I can't say. Good luck!

I am running 6 squash, 2 895's, 748 Koch, 980 Razo, 738 Stellpflug, and 616 Corkum. Jims 552 didn't germinate nor did the 900 Lyons. Will any produce a 1000 pounder, we'll see.

My 552 didn't germinate either I also started all 6 of my 970 Nesbitt's*...I got zippo :0( But the 980 Razo, 894 Hebb, 857 Platte, and 625.5 Welty are in and looking good.
