Growing shrimp for agricultural purposes is a big industry in Israel. I heard about it a couple of years ago on the Discovery Channel. They did a piece on how the Shrimp were grown with fish and how each tiny bit of water or fish waste was recycled back into the system to reduce costs and use of resources (like water in the middle of the Negev Desert).

If you have any specific questions I will ask him.The only thing I remembering him saying is they can not handle cool temps.
