Hey,
Has anyone tried direct root feeding (http://www.oocities.org/bg_seeds/giantpumpkins.html) I want to but am not sure whether it will do more harm than good and can't find a lot of information on it.

I think you would have to use a lot of these,then check every container as an individual hydro unit, maybe after a lot of testing there could be optimum locations to set them around the set pumpkin , but I dont think it will help much.

Your also damaging roots when you bury your container
