things were going just fine but all of a sudden my 20 ft long vine has yellowed leaves and the ends of the vine are wilting. 3 days ago i did some more pruning and have selected the one poumpkin i'm going to keep. i slid a piece of styrofoam underneath it. I have watered well but i don't think i've over watered. I gave it a gallon of water with the fish/seaweed fertilizer and a gallon with the mycorrizhae. Don't see any signs of pests. Does anybody have a clue of what's going on??

I've never seen yellowing leaves from that. Just a drooping one day and completely flat the next. I suspect i prunes too much at one time. Does anyone else prune and have problems?

I suspect yellow vine disease as well. It's caused by squash bugs. A photo would be helpful.
Does the affected foliage have a light to dark green mosaic pattern?

galyn, i have a plant that is doing the same thing. the only thing i can figure out is the soil under the main vine is extremly wet, 5' out the soil is fine. have not watered for 5 days outer leaves are turning green agian, but all fruit have fell off ,plant is lost i think.my opinion is a low spot in the patch let the water stand and rot the roots on the main. only my opinion,

My bad. The disease is CARRIED by squash bugs, not caused by them.

thanks everyone for your input. I found a picture of yellow vine disease and it looks about the same. Now i'm hoping my other vines will be spared. I will spray Sevin but I think it might be too late.

Do you have a fungicide program?
