Hello BP members!
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be coordinating this year’s Exotic Seed Exchange once again! This long-standing tradition is a highlight for many giant veggie growers, and I want to thank everyone who has kept it going over the years—whether by organizing, donating, or participating.
-- What is the Exotic Seed Exchange?
Think of it as a second Christmas for giant vegetable enthusiasts! Each year, generous growers share unique and interesting seeds. A quick search on BigPumpkins reveals years of threads filled with amazing contributions and community spirit.

-- How It Works
- We’re aiming for 40 participants, so please prepare at least 40 individual seed packets.
- Label each packet clearly with the seed type and any relevant info.
- U.S. participants only —unfortunately shipping to Canada has been unreliable.
- To ensure delivery before Christmas, please ship your seed packets by December 1st.
- Send me your tracking info once shipped.

If you have a special seed you'd like to donate, please reach out! These will be randomly included in lucky envelopes. I’ll also be contacting companies to see if we can include some fun samples in your packages.

Lessons learned from last year.

- Please accurately label your seeds. The more information the better. "103 Jarosh 23, Giant Butternut" Former world record.
- Please let me know ahead of time what seeds you are looking to donate. Last year I did a decent job of getting a variety of different seeds. Thank you to everyone that was asked to submit something different.
- Please provide tracking, This way I can see what's coming and what's not. I had 3 folks back out last minute after telling me packages were in the mail. Luckily I had 2 folks ready to take those spots and the last envelope got donated to my local 4H group.

Highlights from last year
- I had an awesome time organizing the event.
- Everyone was able to get a special see drop.
- I was able to get the seeds out as promised the second week of December and we had 100% arrival.
