Sheep cleaned up the melon and cantelope. But they tend to stop eating when one takes a poop on their own food.
The melon flavor was ok, but it had a lot of coarse texture and seeds. The cantelope was ok but not exceptional. The perils of growing big. Of all the gpc categories, the tomatoes seem to have the most culinary value. Except maybe those really ugly, misshapen, and whatnot.
Same as last week, the melons have stalled in the cooler weather. The tomatoes and gourds are going very strong, at least foliage-wise.
