Haven't been on in a while because all my plants had burnt up front the three 100 degree days in a row accompanied by multiple 90/92 degree days in a row back in July. All my plants filled there space of 150sf and 600sf but leaves and vines got burned and could not get any pumpkin pollinated due to heat stress. Watering and umbrellas were used for shade. No shade cloth. So I started over and planted a seed begging of August and i did a mid September pollination and now its mid October and I may have a 100 lb porch pumpkin to decorate with before Halloween. Like Henry never give up. These pumpkins do like cooler weather 75 to 85 degrees. We have been spoiled here with 70s and mid 80 degree temperatures in September. Now a nor'easter took a hold cooled things off but back to dryness and 70s a few days ahead I see. But yeah never give up.
