Squash culls. The largest (top) is 10% larger by volume than the one I kept, pollinated on the same day. Would it have been a better choice? Perhaps, but I would have had to pull more precious roots out than the other one.

Its interesting how each flower has its own unique shape and potential size. Some plants may throw uniform females, but they are not always necessarily uniform.
