THIGMOMORPHOGENESIS...the movement of plants and leaves caused by air either natural (wind) or artificial (fans). This results in a number of beneficial functions for the plant. It makes them stronger. It cause water to evaporate on the leaf surface...transpiration. As the water evaporates , it allows more water to be taken up by the roots which , in turn, drags nutirnts with it. This a simplified explanation of Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD)...the driving force of plant growth. The fan in the picture is running 24/7 and oscillates as well. The leaves love it ! I have 16 fans in a 2000 sq ft greenhouse. Most of them are under $20 from Home Depot.
