Finally, the first pair in the ground. 2070 Bernstrom, and 2084 Bassett � the weather has been lousy � windy, cold, several days of rain in a row. Now we have a nice week coming. The other pair, 2098 Bassett ((5/11) and the other 2080 Bernstrom (4/22) � which took 18 days to germinate!!!, are held in reserve for a week to be planted next to the first pair. What a terrible start to the season � last year pollinated my first female flower 3 weeks from now.
