I think this is the hardest place in my yard to grow. It is nearly pure sand and is heavily shaded.Weeds even have trouble here. We have the small area challenge (150sq ft) . I am thinking about challenging myself to low budget. I wonder how much I can improve year to year with a budget of $120 per year for one pumpkin plant. Year one..with the deer I have around..I cant even buy fence for the area. $120 is not much....I don’t think I will break 1 pound per $. Will have to think about long term value vs instant improvement.
