1803 Hoelke (1463 Hoelke x 1625 Gantner) 14% Heavy.
This one still surprises me. Didn't expect the weight. Love the shape and colour. The back side was even more orange. I'm glad I finally got one to the scale from my 1463. This seed was my best in 2014 but I accidentally rounded up the plant and killed it. Last year it was again my best performer but split at 1572 (14% heavy as well) at the end of August. This year I made it to the finish line. I've seen 7 of the 1463 offspring and they've all been orange. My 1572 last year probably the nicest orange pumpkin I've seen up close, that picture is at the top of the page.
I got a great seed count on this. Most ever. I've been really trying to use a lot of pollen when pollinating. Not sure if there's any truth to that, but large seed counts again this year.
