This is a Russian Oxheart heirloom. The person who gave me the seed happens to be Russian and brought it over a couple of years ago. Her family over there has been growing this seed for years. They make sauces from this variety. I thought I would start some for eating, but since I can't seem to grow a normal garden any more, I thought I would try to grow some big one's. The plant is very vigorous and a heavy, early producer. After I started this one I trimmed the plant back. The parent tomato last year was 1.93 lbs. Would be happy with a 2-3lber.
