Our first dilemma of the season. Take this as a reminder to check your stumps often! We had covered our stumps early this year and thought we were safe from stump problems. No such luck! Pete noticed a little soft spot on the stump of the 1998 Jutras plant. He scraped it, sprayed it with zerotol and we put a fan on it to dry it out. It is looking better! We also sent some leaves in to A and L Labs for tissue analysis as we think our plants look a little peaked.maybe they need a little nitrogen? We hope to hear back from the lab soon!
