I plan on giving watermelons and field pumpkins a go here in this old hog lot. A few weeks back I was fortunate enough to get a visit from a "legend" melon grower here in Va in Davis Wells so I hope I can do him proud.
My number #1 goal this year is to qualify for Master Gardener points. I also enjoyed growing the long gourds. I know I need to raise my long gourd setup because last year they grew so fast they drove into the ground and it was a pain to dig em out to take to a weigh-off.
